Hi, my name is Sophie. I have recently completed a Masters in History at Royal Holloway University with distinction. Before this I attained a Bachelors in History and Economics with first-class honours from Manchester University. As well as History and Economics I am also well equipped to teach English. I have an A-Level in English Literature and extensive experience in journalism and creative writing. Throughout my education I have also developed a keen understanding of Politics and can tutor Politics up to A-Level. I am passionate about making learning fun, I believe the best results come when students look forward to learning. My approach to teaching is flexible; I employ a wide variety of teaching methods tailored to students' different needs and skills, as well as the type of assessments they are building up to. I especially encourage background and extra reading. I can also help students develop their writing and formal communication skills. This is especially important in essay based subjects like History and English, but I can also help students write UCAS or job applications.
