I`m an enthusiastic and patient person. I love working as a private tutor and have loads of experience to help student taking 11+, GCSE and A-level exams. Also, I can help A-level students who want to attend the Maths Olympiad.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I believe that every student is different and hence different methods and teaching approaches should be applied for each for better results. In the first lesson, I normally ask my students to take a short test to check their levels and identify the areas they need to improve. For any student, the most important thing is not just helping them to solve the questions, but showing them the process of thinking so that they can deal with any question by themselves.
What qualifications do you have?
I have achieved 3 A* for A-levels and a degree in Mathematics with First Class Honour. Also, I will be joining the Maths Teacher training programme in September 2019 to gain QTS.
Tell us about your experience...
Over the past six years, I have been tutoring Mathematics for students with their 11+, GCSE and A-level exams. Teaching students at different grade levels, I have come to realize that each student is unique with his distinct personality and capability as well as his own strengths and weaknesses; thus, I have applied a wide range of teaching methods that are suitable for my intended students. Undoubtedly, my teaching approaches and problem-solving skills have been developed and improved continually. Furthermore, as a person who has studied and worked in the international environment since young ages, I have had chances to connect with people from varied backgrounds and understand different cultures. As a result, I have learned how to accept individual differences, to listen to students’ opinions, and to motivate my students.
