I have taught English as a second language to a wide range of people, from business people looking to communicate more effectively in the workplace, to young children struggling to make themselves understood outside of their home. I am also experienced in helping children/teenagers whose first language is English with grammar, spelling and writing skills. This is from KS1 through to GCSE. I believe learning should be relaxed and fun. In my experience, people who struggle with learning lack confidence in their abilities and this holds them back. My aim is to provide tutoring that caters to each person/child as an individual, finding their strengths and building on them.

What is your personal message to students?
Reading is key to improving your English. It doesn't have to be classical literature. Anything that fires your imagination, that makes you want to keep reading until the end, that makes you feel slightly sad that you've finished it is a good book. Your vocabulary, spelling and general writing ability will all benefit enormously.
