I am a qualified Maths teacher, currently head of Maths at a Barnsley secondary school. I have been teaching for 8 years and a private tutor for 5. I can help with all aspects of tutoring including helping boost confidence, securing a pass at GCSE or helping students achieve the top grades in exams.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I am easily adaptable, I like to raise confidence and encourage resilience. All my teaching will follow an I, we, you style to encourage students to follow my lead, before we do it together and hopefully that will lead them to confidently do it alone.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a 1st class honours degree in Secondary Education with Qualified teachers status. Awarded in July 2014.
Tell us about your experience...
I have been teaching since September 2014, became Head of Maths at my current school in September 2019. I am also an experienced examiner for Edexcel so know exactly what is expected in terms of getting all the marks possible in an exam.
