Hello! I'm Emma! I can offer high quality tutoring with a focus on science subjects so if that's what you need, please do get in touch. I have a strong academic background with 9 A*, 1 A in GCSES, 3 A* at A-level in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and 1 A AS Level in French. I studied Biochemistry at University of Oxford obtaining a double first and 5th in my year, winning the Gibbs Prize. I have recently finished a 4-year PhD in medical research at UCL. Throughout my time studying, I have tutored GCSE, A level and degree level one-on-one, I have helped out with laboratory sessions during undergraduate biomedical degrees and have supervised multiple undergraduate and masters lab-based projects. My extensive teaching experience led to my acceptance as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Supportive, non-judgemental (no question is a silly question) but will get the student to think and get to the answer themselves

Don't panic! New content is always difficult to start with but the feeling of understanding and seeing your own improvement is worth it!
