Specialist Intervention & Classroom Teacher
Over 9 years teaching experience | Intervention Teacher | Maths Specialist
Helping your children achieve the results that they otherwise wouldn't be able to in a classroom setting, by utilising my experience to create bespoke educational plans for each unique child. I have experience working with children individually, as well as devising and implementing targeted small group lessons for children who struggle to grasp concepts in the classroom setting. I pride myself on identifying misconceptions and closing learning gaps to consolidate their understanding of core subject matter, whilst also promoting enjoyment from learning.
My last classroom teacher role resulted in 100% of pupils improving across Maths, Writing and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar), with 62% achieving "accelerated progress" (attaining higher than predicted) within just 1 academic year.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I am passionate about helping students grasp curriculum learning objects, whilst making learning a fun, engaging and rewarding experience. I have nine years of teaching experience as a classroom and specialist intervention. Through an interactive and hands-on approach to learning, students consolidated their understanding and achieved accelerated learning outcomes.
I am a confident and highly skilled teacher, having taught through KS1 & KS2, with children of mixed abilities and learning needs. I have worked with students from diverse family backgrounds, and those that require varied teaching approaches to achieve success. Identifying individual strengths, weaknesses, abilities and learning styles, is key to my teaching approach.
