I am a friendly and enthusiastic piano teacher with more than 30 years experience teaching children ages 6 years and up. Since moving to the UK from the Philippines (my birthplace) in 2008 and starting my private tuition business in Keynsham I have also included teaching adults (both beginners and advanced levels). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from my Alma Mater, St. Scholastica's College in Manila, Philippines and a Post Graduate Diploma in Music Education from the University of Regina, Regina Saskatchewan, Canada. Since I am classically trained my teaching method is quite traditional. I use method books gearing towards classical music but include popular tunes (film, broadway, light pop) in my repertoire. I prepare students for piano exams (ABRSM) with a 100% pass mark. I believe Music is the language of the soul and a gift from God that should be nurtured.

How would you describe your teaching style?

Traditional Teaching Method. I teach students how to read notes from first lesson. I use method books to teach. I teach to make the grades (ABRSM Exam Board) or just for leisure.

What qualifications do you have?

Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (Piano) Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Music)

What is your personal message to students?

Music is a universal language. Learning to play the Piano or any musical instrument should be learned with no stress. Anyone can learn to play an instrument and do well as long as there is passion, patience, and diligence in learning and practicing. Your talent is a gift from God, use it wisely.
