The oldest academic discipline...English. To be good at English means to excel in many areas. I am fully equipped to teach this subject to Primary School, GCSE, AS and A Level, Adult Learner, SEN and ESOL. I am a BA Hons graduate in English Literature and Language (2:1). I have tutoring, journalism, proof-reading and book writing experience. I have recently tutored in a few projects for University students to help them achieve the top grades. I take care and pride in my students and work hard to make each one a success. I also have experience teaching Primary school English in France and have even been a children`s entertainer! My method of one-on-one tutoring focuses on upmost care for my student`s needs and utilising methods for better learning practices. I`d be happy to answer any questions and explain the process to you. I truly love the English discipline and knowing that there are so many students who would love to improve their English fills me with utter happiness and the best motivation for helping the student fledglings fly in the subject. I love to fill all my students with confidence and feel very rewarded in doing so. I have A BA Hons (2:1) English Language and Literature degree and several CPD qualifications in teaching. My first lesson has a 50% discount. This is for initial meeting where I provide you with my portfolio and I ask for and assess the student`s needs.

- Assessed varying student abilities (extending to SEN if needed) and tailored tutoring style to learning style and educational needs. Then administered weekly self-created lessons, monthly assessments and individualised, detailed revision plans in order for students to achieve their full potential. - Instructed students in effective study for academic improvement and worked together with them to answer questions correctly. Set homework every lesson and available outside of lessons to ensure students have extra support with the best chance of success. - Advanced University students, assisting native English students in order to obtain better grades in their assignments and complete their UCAS personal statements. Also edited all kinds of degrees for those who struggle with the English language. Thoroughly prepared GCSE and A Level students for their exams. - Achieved much improved results where Adult and ESOL learners acquired language skills, GCSE students accomplished an 8 from a 4, correct speech was achieved with RP and conversational skills and A Levels reached a grade higher, all within one month. Also assisted in a dyslexic teacher’s 16 full page annual review in 2 weeks. - Created many resources for the students, for example redesigning curriculums to make them easier to comprehend and creating frameworks for precise essay answering which were not available elsewhere. Selected various texts and genres to facilitate English literature and language acquisition. - Very familiar with curriculums including AQA, Edexcel and OCR, both GCSE and AS/A Level - IT savvy. E-tutoring, using an iPad as a productive external stimulus, especially for ESOL through which 20 international students were taught English as a second language.
