Hey! Looking to learn guitar so you can sound like your favourite Rock, Pop, or Blues guitarist? Or just looking to learn casually? Either way, I can get you there! I have been teaching guitar, casually and for exams, for over 6 Years, and have been playing guitar since I was 3!

How would you describe your teaching style?

If you want to learn guitar, the chances are you'll want to learn for fun! I like to make all my lessons fun and engaging, and my teaching style reflects that. I am calm and patient when teaching, because a student should never feel pressured into being able to play a song straight away. Learning guitar is a skill that requires practise and patience, and everyone learns at different rates, so I like to tailor a lesson specific to the individuals learning. I have had many guitar tutors throughout the years (from intermediate level to advanced) and I always noticed progression, and more of an interest when the tutor was patient and calm, as opposed to the typical strict tutor who you end up fearing! Over a few lessons, I will get an idea of how quickly a student learns and the techniques they struggle with. This allows me to teach in detail to the individuals needs, making them a better player. Grades / Exams: If you want to learn guitar with the aim of taking a graded exam, no problem! We will work through the syllabus, covering all relative material to get you feeling confident! I make sure all of my students are confident, and comfortable playing all the material that will be covered in the exam. This is why I have never had a student fail. Casual lessons: If you're not interested in taking grades, thats absolutely fine! We can work our way up to learning your favourite riffs, songs, solos etc.. After finding out your musical tastes, and if there's any songs you've always wanted to be able to play on guitar, I will then have more direction and an idea of how to teach you whist keeping you interested.
