I grew up with early computers such as the ZX Spectrum, and was writing simple programs from the age of five. Thirty years on, I now have 13 years experience working as a programmer in the videogame industry. I've worked on games that have sold millions, including Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Kinectimals and Kinect Disneyland Adventures. I am available for individual tuition on: - GCSE and A-Level Computing / Computer Science - Degree-level Computer Science - General purpose programming skills - Game, web and app development The typical structure for my lessons is to do 45 minutes (£33) with a 15 minute break in the middle – this break is helpful to me due to a health condition, but it actually works well for the student too as I can ask them to try a task during the break and then check their work in the second half of the session.

My name is Joe Hytner. I teach Latin and Ancient Greek in London, Cambridge and on Skype. I studied Classics at King's College, Cambridge, graduating in 2009. I then completed my PGCE (teacher training) at Queens' College, Cambridge in 2010, before teaching Latin part-time in three different schools. I have been a private tutor since 2009, and have now clocked up thousands of hours' experience. I have taught Latin and Ancient Greek extensively for 13+ Common Entrance, 13+ Scholarship, GCSE, AS, A2, Pre-U, SAT, Oxbridge entrance exams, university exams, and adults learning just for fun (amongst other tutoring briefs). I also have 7 years’ experience as a Cambridge University supervisor, teaching the ancient languages to undergraduates at a wide variety of colleges. I also own and run a private tuition agency, Titanium Tutors, which provides tutors across the UK, for all subjects and levels. I love Classics, and my main aim is to make my lessons fun and inspirational.

I'm looking to expand my tutee base, having had a couple recently head off to university (A*s in Computer Science, I'm a proud tutor!). I work hard to ensure that all sessions are bespoke, building upon 6 years' tutoring and mentoring experience. I have a comprehensive knowledge base from which I construct lessons with SMART objectives, with a drive to maximise value for the tutee. As well as individual sessions, I've previously run full revision days, and sessions with 2+ tutees (with reduced rate per tutee). I have a pragmatic and holistic approach to delivering real learning progression, and I actively avoid 'learning by rote', choosing instead to exploit the rapport with the tutee and myself, to provide real-world contextual understanding, reinforcing topics in a relatable and enjoyable manner. My rates are flexible, and I don't believe that there's a one-size-fits-all rate that I would offer, so let's have a conversation about your requirements.

Hi! I am a second-year student studying at the University of Leicester studying Software Engineering. I have completed A-Levels in Biology, Maths, EPQ and Computer Science and hold 11 GCSEs including Further Maths. I spent the summer of 2018 working as a councillor and lifeguard at a summer camp in America. This has given me a lot of experience working around younger people and taught me useful ways of having fun and leading them. I hold an enhanced DBS check and have worked as a lifeguard for over two years. This work requires me to be very responsible and pay attention to detail; something which I think is important when dealing with a child’s education. Having recently used tutors for my own studies I have the ability to build off of my experiences and help your child reach their potential in modern ways for their modern curriculum.
