I provide empathetic one to one tuition which is designed to best suit the individual learning needs of the students concerned. I will take twins and have a track record of success with Students with dyslexia and short attention spans. My students gain self confidence in the subject matter concerned so that they can walk into the examinations with the knowledge that they should do be able to perform to the best of their innate ability. I make complex subjects much easier to understand and use appropriate humor to help students to better understand the subject matter.

My name is Ashleigh gibney and I am a fresh graduate from queens university belfast in economics with finance. Economics is one of my many passions that I've tutored since I left school and with the highest a level in Northern Ireland in the subject each of my students have done exceptionally well. I'm addition maths at both Gcse and a level are areas I have tutored in in the past. I understand some struggle people have with the concept of maths but together it can be made easy. I'm young and remember what it's like to struggle to study.

I've just moved to London to complete my LPC after graduating from Bristol University in June with a high 2.i in LLB Law. Having always had a high academic track record (a mixture of A's and A*s at GCSE and A level), I am looking to help students from whatever age with their workload. I have had tutors in the past so I know how helpful they can be. I'm really friendly, easy going and relaxed and am able to work through problems with students at whatever rate they prefer. Don't hesitate to get in touch :)!

I am a qualified Primary School teacher. I have taught Year 1 for several years, both in Guernsey and in the UK. I also taught a reception class for a couple of years prior to that. I do have experience of working with other age groups up to age 11. In addition to teaching curriculum subjects, I can also provide musical instruction for the piano and violin. I also have an interest in sewing, crochet and crossstitch. I believe myself to be a kind, fair but firm, individual who can tailor activities to the learning needs of each individual child.

I'm a highly qualified, 'hands-on' tutor specialising in Geography, History, Politics, English and Spanish with ten years extensive experience at home and abroad (Central America). I’m also a published academic writer (notes for exam specifications), freelance writer (politics/sociology of religion) and novelist. My lessons are dynamic, engaging and never - yes, never - dull and boring; I just can't teach that way. Remember! It’s not school and I’m not your teacher; the learning experience is at its most effective when both tutor and student are engaged in the subject and, dare I say it, even enjoying it!

A teacher holding a PGCE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Having graduated from the University of Wales, I hold a good honours degree. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy preparing students for examination. I teach full time in a High School in Cardiff and have examined English Language and Literature for a number of major UK Boards. I have also examined Mathematics and Geography. I have a professional interest in SEN, at both ends of the spectrum - the gifted and talented together with students who experience a difficulty in the subject. I have received much positive feedback.

I understand what it means to feel that you can’t do Maths and I can help. I am well-organised, energetic and caring. I expect high standards but I also make lessons fun and interesting. I help students to grow in confidence. Sometimes the problem is not the Maths but reading the question. I also specialise in English. In 2009/10, I tutored 135 students in schools from 7 to 16 years old. I also teach adults, giving both confidence and skills. I teach in my home in the centre of Ilkley, in the student’s home or with Skype.

My name is Olivia and my main background is in history and archaeology. I have a Masters degree from Cambridge University in Medieval Archaeology and a BA Honours degree from Queen’s University, Belfast in Archaeology. Though history is my primary subject, I have a keen interest in English language and literature and am in the process of writing a young adult fiction novel. I am happy to tutor most humanity subjects, if given enough warning so I can ensure I am up-to-date with relevant syllabus content and am happy to teach at any pace required from the student. I believe learning should be engaging and stimulating so I try to adapt my technique to best suit the student’s learning style. I pride myself on being a bubbly and enthusiastic teacher and maintain a calm and enjoyable atmosphere as I know school, college and university can be stressful enough as it is and I do not want external tutoring sessions to end up a chore! In this way I seek to help, teach and reinforce ideas learned within formal education.
