Private Tutors in Solihull and Tutoring in Solihull
I'm a recently-retired Assistant Head with 40 years' experience in Years 4-6. Alongside being a class teacher, I was responsible for curriculum design and assessment. I also led English throughout the school. This means I am fully aware of the requirements of the national curriculum and can tailor teaching to individual needs. I have had many years' experience in preparing children for 11+, independent school exams and KS2 SATs. SATs results at my school were regularly above the national average, despite mixed-ability classes.I offer private tuition sessions at my home for all external examinations, together with general support and confidence-building in all areas of English and Maths for children needing that extra little boost in Years 4-6. Fees are payable half-termly in advance.
Hi my name is Corinne Grant and I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE) of Modern Foreign Languages. I am head of the languages department in a large secondary school in Birmingham. At university I studied Spanish and English and gained a 2:1. As a teacher working with students everyday I have the skills and the knowledge base to adapt my teaching to suit the needs of the students. I also know what the exam requirements are for my subject which is highly advantageous

I'm a very reliable and experienced tutor, that can always promise to try to my best to get your child to their full potential. I like to be very efficient too, so your child can achieve the desired results as quick as possible! I recommend 2 hour sessions, so we can get ready twice as quick for AS and A-Level exams as quickly as possible. For this I charge £35. I only work all day weekends, and I don't mind at all if we go over by 15-20 minutes because I promise all I want is to see them succeed, and if we need to spend longer on something I will! For any students applying to Medicine (and Dentistry), I can do one 3 hour lesson for £50, which will cover Everything you need to know from; What you need to do and when you must do it? How it all works? The entry exams you will need to take, and how to be very successful from recent experience? Personal statement and examples, and finally static applying!

The Kumon Maths and English tuition programmes complement the national curriculum and work in a logical, sequential way to develop mathematics and English skills. Children are able to work at a suitable pace for themselves meaning it is suitable for children that are struggling at school through to those that are more reserved and require additional challenges. Our aim is to ensure that all students are studying above their school level within 6 months. Over 90% of our children study at 6 months above their school level, 25% of which are currently studying at 2 years above their age.
