Private Tutors in Richmond Upon Thames and Tutoring in Richmond Upon Thames
I am a qualified and experienced teacher. My last teaching post was at The Lady Eleanor Holles School. I personally feel that being a teacher is crucial to being an effective tutor as I have first hand knowledge and experience of the curriculum and plentiful ways of teaching it effectively. I have vast and varied experience and success of tutoring children for confidence, classroom support and entrance exams (7+, 8+, 10+, 11+) I supply all of my own resources and prepare each tuition session beforehand, with homework. I have been a teacher for eight years, including an Assistant Head Teacher.
I recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1. I understand that Chemistry is a challenging subject at both GCSE and A level, and that sometimes it needs to be explained in a variety of ways to be understood. I am a friendly and approachable person with a very good knowledge of chemistry and also have A levels in Biology and Maths. I am offering tuition in Chemistry up to A level standard and may be able to help with Biology and Maths.

I achieved a first class master's degree in physics from the University of Bristol. I am now undertaking a postgraduate degree in theoretical particle physics at the University of Southampton and I will begin teacher training September '15. I am able to offer mathematics and physics tutoring up to and including A level. I am happy as well to do informal undergraduate sessions at a lower price. On top of the lessons, I will also provide significant planning and timetabling necessary for efficient learning in the form of marking/homework/further reading etc.
I am a tutor with over a decade of teaching and examining experience and have a full time tutoring clientele. My aim is to instil my students with the enthusiasm and the confidence to achieve their full potential in every area of the subject. I take good care of every student in my care, ensuring success.

Hello! My name is Carey. I am a first year PhD student working on plant genomics at Queen Mary, University of London.. I have an MSc in Bioinformatics (a combination of biology, data science and computer programming) and BSc in Natural Science (Biology and Chemistry). I have experience working with 10-16 year olds, having been a guide leader for over 5 years. I can teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE level and also Biology up to A-levels. I am available from 10th September onwards and would prefer to tutor evenings after 6pm or Saturday afternoons after 12, though I can accommodate other times as I work flexible hours. I am willing to travel throughout Kew and Richmond and also into neighboring areas depending upon the availability of transport links. As I am a new tutor my rate would be £20/hour for both GCSE or A Level, with a minimum of an hour per session. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Dear Parent, I've been a secondary school teacher in the West of London and a private tutor of both Maths and Physics for 25+ years; Having taught in St. Mark's School, Hounslow and as Head of Physics in Cranford Community College and Ealing Tutorial College I nowadays provide tuition, either face-to-face in my home at Whitton or - increasingly - online. I have taught students across the full ability range, students with moderate learning difficulties as well as those aiming to achieve top grades in GCSE and at A - Level. All of my advanced students have gone on to University, some to medical school and successful Oxford or Cambridge entrance. In my early years I gained experience as an examiner and that has enabled me to guide my students more effectively in preparation for GCSE and A - Level exams. I am very familiar with the requirements of the main Exam Boards and the recent changes to their specifications in both Maths and Physics. Over the last few years I have developed strategies, including Skype and the latest advances in technology, to carry out tuition online, so that I can share my knowledge and enthusiasm with a wider range of students who would benefit from my help. Please ask me for details of how online tuition can work for you and see details below.
