Fully qualified Science teacher, with 35 years of successful teaching experience. I will guide you in building up your understanding of Science, so that you make your own sensible "story" rather than feeling you are carrying a collection of random, unrelated facts. Exams don`t have to be a trial. We will use reliable, straightforward exam techniques so that you understand what a question is asking you to do, and can tackle it with real confidence. In our sessions, most of the talking should be yours: explaining something for yourself is a powerful and effective way to learn. I`m still surprised at how much laughter there is, too!

I am a PhD level qualified scientist. I have 4 years of post doctoral research experience and 2 years of industry experience in variety of pharmacy and medicine related subject areas. I have supervised project students on formulation development of biological molecules. Trained PhD students on specialised subjects and techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and biophysics. I have designed laboratory classes on formulation, non-sterile and sterile production, aseptic technique, physical chemistry and microbiology. I am not only able to help GCSE and A-level students but also teach specific topics to undergraduate and PhD students.
