Fully qualified Science teacher, with 35 years of successful teaching experience. I will guide you in building up your understanding of Science, so that you make your own sensible "story" rather than feeling you are carrying a collection of random, unrelated facts. Exams don`t have to be a trial. We will use reliable, straightforward exam techniques so that you understand what a question is asking you to do, and can tackle it with real confidence. In our sessions, most of the talking should be yours: explaining something for yourself is a powerful and effective way to learn. I`m still surprised at how much laughter there is, too!

A keen student currently studying for his masters in Medicinal Chemistry at Newcastle University. As a student myself I am all too aware of what is required to learn a course and receive top grades in exams. I have never received anything less than a 1st in any university exam and I believe this is due to a well structured method of revision. I am familiar with the current Gcse, iGcse, AS-level and A-level curricula for most of the major examination boards in Chemistry and Biology. I believe in taking a very individual approach to tutoring, adapting resources and approaches based on the individual student. We don't all learn in the same way. I believe learning should be fun, and as enjoyable for the student as it is for the teacher. I am friendly and approachable and I work hard to ensure that my lessons make a difference. Please get in touch if you wish to know more about me. Tom
