I am a full-time STEM educator and science communication specialist, with extensive classroom and lecture experience. After several years of teaching large groups, I'm keen to make sure I maintain my skills in small-group settings and individual tuition. Academically, I have a background -undergraduate and postgraduate- in both Mathematics and Astronomy, and I have followed those interests from research into education. In my current role, I teach formal lessons primarily to children from early-years level to Post-16, and more informal lecturing for general audiences of all ages. I have experience of teaching all ability levels, as well as working with many SEN groups, and I have a particular interest in helping adult learners who may have been disheartened by their school experiences of mathematics.

I offer oboe and piano lessons. My practical teaching style is reflective, person-centred practice. I have experience teaching and leading in a range of settings, from one-to-one instrument lessons to group coaching, sectional conducting and performance exams preparation sessions. I also offer rehearsal and recital accompaniment. I have worked privately, for a prestigious public school and for the BBC Proms among others. My academic background means that I enjoy teaching the theoretical side of music alongside practical music making - and can help getting the grades for GCSE and A Levels. I have been educated at a UK Top 20 state school, as well as a university consistently ranked No 1 for academic music in the Good University Guide. I am a recent graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, which is No 1 for higher education graduate employment and has been nominated for a global teaching award.
