Maths Tutors in Haringey and Maths Tutoring in Haringey
Having taught for 38 years I have helped hundreds of young people develop in their confidence and ability. This is easy for me as I have always loved mathematics. Every student is a world unto themselves and my approach is in evolving a strategy and pattern that works for the individual. For those with motivation problems equally for those who simply require the knowledge imparted. I particularly value communication with parents as this makes for awareness of challenges and progress, which makes a big difference. I look for inspiration and ability as equal factors in bringing the learning alive.

I am a masters student living not far from Seven Sisters station (South Tottenham). I am currently studying to become a Speech and Language therapist at University College London (UCL), but in my spare time would love to tutor maths, english, science or psychology. I have a first class undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Maths A Level, these would be my two strongest and most commonly tutored subjects. A lot of requests are about the statistics side of Psychology which I also love to tutor. However I can also teach English Literature and/or Language (up to GCSE) or Science (up to Year 9). I am willing to travel to you and have flexible availability for weekday evenings, most Fridays or weekends. I make my lessons easy to understand and not boring!

I currently study Maths and Economics at the London School of Economics, but having struggled at Maths in my early years at secondary school I know how hard it can be. I try and break problems down to make them more interesting by relating them to the real world and showing the practical uses of Maths. I have recently completed an internship with 'TeachFirst' where I learned about engaging teaching techniques and concluded with me teaching a Maths lesson at a school in East London. The lesson, and its main activities, will be designed to best fit your way of learning. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello, my name is Samantha. My speciality is primary education as I work in a school. Also, English at all levels demonstrated through my academic career. I am a personable and flexible individual with a passion for my subject and students. I am passionate about learning being a fun experience for all involved that can ultimately be something to be proud of. I do believe that every pupil does learn differently. The ultimate positive aspect of teaching one-to-one for me is being able to establish what a particular student needs, enabling me to prepare bespoke lessons.

Passionate, dedicated and trustworthy Tutor based in Haringey. I tutor KS1 & KS2 students in Maths, English and Science. My aim is to ensure all my students succeed. My methodology is simple. I start by interviewing (having a chat with the view of getting to know) all my students, I then assess them to ascertain how to tutor my student and also what their strengths and weaknesses are. Then I tailor make my lesson plans around that, as every student is unique, that means they have different learning styles and paces. I tend to focus on the weaknesses more; by making learning fun and interesting I can engage students more. My success as a tutor comes from helping students smash their goals and some.

I know how easy it is to become discouraged when studying Maths. It's a subject in which concepts can be difficult to understand. As soon as children struggle to cope in class, they can quickly fall behind and lose interest and motivation. I love Maths and I love persuading children (and adults) that Maths is fun. But it's only fun when you understand it. That’s where I come in. I am a knowledgeable, professional, reliable and dedicated tutor, but I am very approachable and like to make lessons informal and engaging. My first taster session is free and there is some room for manoeuvre for subsequent sessions. I identify the problems and offer solutions tailored to the individual child. Contact me to find out how I can help your child gain success and satisfaction in Maths.

As a Master's graduate in Physics from King's College London, I am a qualified and enthusiastic tutor with the in-depth subject knowledge required to teach subjects that students often struggle with. I have worked as a tutor throughout my undergraduate degree, and have experience working in tuition centres and classroom environments. My approach to tutoring is to be patient and encouraging in order to provide sufficient levels of reassurance to the student while explaining difficult concepts. I believe in continuous assessment of the student's progress in order to ensure understanding of the subject.
