History Tutors in Haringey and History Tutoring in Haringey
I have 7 years experience as a tutor, teaching GCSE and A-level English - my student achieved an A* and gained a place at Cambridge - and also English and Maths from age 7 to 11. I have experience working towards the Harrow entrance exam, and my pupil was offered a place. I have a BA in English and Philosophy (Starred First) and an MA (First) in Film and Literature from the University of York. I aim to create a very encouraging and friendly environment, one that is both relaxed and studious. I have found through experience this brings out the best in the students. Please email for enquiries.

I recently graduated from the University of Liverpool, with a masters in Mental Health Psychology with merit and am about to begin my first year at The Minster Centre studying for a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am an experienced teacher and tutor in KS3, GCSE and A Level English as well as degree level, KS3 and KS4 History, Religious Studies and Psychology. For my undergraduate degree, I studied Film and Literature and also have an MA in English. I was a Secondary English teacher for one year and prior to that, a Humanities teaching assistant in a Secondary school for two years, regularly teaching lesson. I form strong relationships with my students because I am warm, accessible, caring, passionate and disciplined, which is also why they excel in their subject. I get to know my students before I begin tutoring them. This way I can effectively work with them. My lesson structures are logical. I also tailor my lessons to support individual students who require extra support or to enable them to be challenged in their learning, as well as teaching to the syllabus. In my experience, practising exam questions is the best way to build confidence and achieve your potential. Please feel free to contact me with any queries!

Hello, due to the recent Corona outbreak, I have been furloughed from position in an international boarding school- ages 14 to 18. Whilst working, I have been studying for a PhD in Philosophy from King's College, London since 2018. I am on the DBS constant update service and have been self-isolating now for 2 weeks. I am able to provide tutoring in all of the above subjects for a very low-fee (£10 per hour). We can do this over skype/zoom or in person, distance permitting, and whether you feel comfortable with this given social distancing measures.

I tutor 7-11 year olds in preparation for tests like SATS or the 11 plus or for general brushing up. I have a wide array of resources I can provide, I can promise that the sessions won't be boring and I can provide remote learning depending on the COVID-19 situation at the time.
