Private Tutors in Ealing and Tutoring in Ealing
Far too often, especially during the later years of primary school and the early years of secondary education, mathematics is presented in an abstract way that places little emphasis on direct physical experience or the social construction of meaning. Such an approach can produce an enduring sense of frustration, confusion and failure that results in young people believing that they just ‘can’t do’ maths. It is my belief that experiences of mathematics which offer clarity, communication and confidence are a vitally important component in challenging disaffection and promoting reengagement in mathematical learning.

I am an English and French tutor with over 5 years of experience in tutoring adults and children. I have always had a passion for languages, academia and helping others to succeed. I hold an MA in English Literature and a degree in English Literature with French. My adult tutees come from overseas and are keen to learn the language in order to communicate with confidence in their day-to-day lives. For my younger students, I create fun ways to learn French as a new language or I provide speaking, reading and writing exercises in order to improve their English skills and grades at school. For my secondary school students, including those at GCSE level, I tailor-make the lessons to match the curriculum and adapt my approach according to their personal learning styles. For A-Level and Graduate level students, I ensure to familiarise myself with the reading material and the specific exam boards in advance. I focus on teaching them techniques to build essential essay-writing skills and improve their ability to analyse and interpret texts. Before beginning a course of lessons, I offer a free consultation hour which helps me to fully understand and meet the needs of each student. Enhanced DBS checked.

Hi! I'm Stefan. I'm a 4th year medical student at Imperial College London. At Imperial, my first two years were focused on preclinical theory readying me for my third, fifth and sixth which are clinical. This year I'm writing my BSc in Endocrinology so less of my time is in hospitals and more of it is self guided study and thesis writeup. So I've found myself having more time on hand and would like to start tutoring again! I am quite specialised in tutoring Medical School entrance. This includes personal statements, entrance exams (UKAT/BMAT), and interviews (both MMI and traditional). Although I am not too familiar with the 11+ or 13+, I have plenty of experience tutoring younger children mainly through an outreach programme run by my secondary school. I usually give the first 30 minutes of lessons free just to get settled and get a feel of the specific curriculum. I can also tutor online (especially under current circumstances) on whichever platform is preffered. If you want to know more (including my grades and experience) just drop me a message. Look forward to hearing from you!

My name is David and I am currently a fourth year MSci student, looking to teach Maths and Physics up to A level standard, as well as general science up to GCSE level. My ability to teach stems from personal experience and knowledge of the subjects. I am friendly and encouraging - students are helped to think about problems independently and to form their own ideas and reasoning. I believe that understanding and appreciation of the material beyond the scope of a school classroom leads to an improvement in both a student`s results and their self-confidence when approaching future work.
